Camille embodies the spirit of modern Burgundy's new generation with a completely hands-on and organic approach.
Camille Thiriet embodies the spirit of Burgundy's new generation. A young winemaker, she first built a micro-négociant activity before founding her own domaine in 2022 with the acquisition of 4.5 hectares in Corgoloin. The domaine now totals 6 hectares and favours a hands-on, organic, soil-focused approach.
Her approach is grounded in a direct relationship with both plant material and soil, with total involvement at every stage. Each cuvée is rooted in a specific parcel, without intermediaries, guided by a clear commitment to expressing place with accuracy and restraint.
Terroirs
The domaine draws from a selection of parcels located primarily in the Côte de Nuits, complemented by a few sites in the Côte de Beaune. This distribution allows for a nuanced exploration of Burgundy, from more structured, tension-driven profiles to softer, more open expressions. Each climat is approached individually, with careful attention to preserving its identity.
Viticulture
Organic approach. Organic conversion since 2022. Ploughing by horse and tractor, cover crops and flowers between rows for biodiversity.
Vinification
Vinifications are carried out with a light touch. Whole clusters may be used depending on the vintage and the balance sought, contributing structure and aromatic lift. Fermentations rely on indigenous yeasts, and extractions are gentle, favouring infusion over force. The aim is to accompany the wine as it forms, rather than to impose a style.
Élevage
Ageing typically takes place over twelve to sixteen months in oak barrels, with a measured use of new wood. The élevage is conceived as a support, not a signature, preserving both texture and clarity of expression.
Style and ageing potential
The wines are defined by their finesse and immediacy. Purity of fruit sits at the core, supported by silky textures and a natural sense of balance. While approachable in their youth, they retain enough structure to evolve gracefully over five to twelve years. The style privileges drinkability without compromising depth, offering a precise and contemporary reading of Burgundy.
